Oh, yeah, sure, right, the guy in the seven-thousand dollar suit is just going to sit around answering your questions all day when you don't make that much in a month. COME ON!

Please don't take this as a pitch, because it isn't meant to be that way. But there's a lot more to this community than memes, pun threads, and tens of millions of daily visitors.

There have actually been a good number of reddit-related charity rallies (the oft-cited example of the community raising some hilariously-huge amount of money--$30,000, I believe--in a matter of hours to bankroll a terminally ill Canadian's Make A Wish-style desire to go on a world trip is a real tear-jerker); we do a yearly Secret Santa event, which I believe Guinness just recognized as the world's largest; /r/randomkindness is a subreddit which has some pretty incredible little stories; and then there's one of my favorites: /r/Random_Acts_Of_Pizza/ which, honest to god, is a community of people who order pizzas for total strangers who are just sorta having a rough day.

Then there's the less fluffy stuff--for instance, the first thing that comes to mind is this particular section of this community dedicated to making meaningful connections with those having suicidal thoughts or feelings and have no person in their life they feel like they can talk to. There are actually some extremely positive outcomes outta there, all of which were made happen by total strangers. Whenever I lose faith in humanity, /r/suicidewatch, is a strangely reliable place to regain it.

I saw you when you were at 918 F St a few months back. (Proof!)

Two questions:

1. I've seen you move in person. You're ridiculously fast for a guy your size. What sort of speed training do you do? Any at all?

2. Do you have a favorite sushi fish?
