I am not the OP but I would like to address your question. Privacy and personal rights are not a "right-wing" thing. The only reason that is considered the case is because the most visible "leftist" movements in the world have been militaristic and authoritarian, two things which I would consider fundamentally incompatible with what left-wing politics are all about. The left fights for equality among the people and for a society in which hierarchy has been mitigated. Militarism and authoritarianism are patently incompatible with this goal. The USSR was not a state governed by actual leftist ideals, it was governed by authoritarian technocrats and bureaucrats, same as Cuba, NK, and any other nation which styles itself as "communist" or leftist. The ultimate goal of the left can only be a stateless society if it wishes to be consistent with the principles of equality and non-hierarchical society.

What are your thoughts on the economic and social system which facilitates such top-down, anti-democratic, militaristic, and destructive governance, which is somehow still uncritically supported by the majority of the Western population?
