Do you feel there’s an ethical conflict with trans healthcare in the uk? So many people end up needing to go private due to the long waiting lists. And they often see the same clinicians they would have seen on the NHS.

Definitely agree about the ridiculous waiting lists Broadly I agree about there being no need for a conflict of interests, but I suspect the small pool of doctors working in the area (particularly in GICs) may complicate things.

I chose to go private for another issue (shoulder surgery), but this was very much a choice I made for convenience. I’d like to think this could be the case for trans healthcare one day. Thank you for supporting the community and providing such vital care.
