Will we see you on Conan again? That skit was hilarious.

Have friends and family asked you to stop?

I’m a reporter, did a story on a wingsuit BASE jumper after he died. His family was grieving, of course, but they also felt resentment and bitterness that he never heeded their requests to stop. They observed a progressive escalation in the risks this man was taking and basically started the grieving process before his actual death. In the end he went to Switzerland for a solid month of BASE jumping and died a few weeks in. What this guy did and experienced was no doubt amazing, but what his family went through really sucked.

So I just wonder, are you really reckoning with your death and what it would mean to those close to you.

Wheelchair tennis is actually great, in that the extra bounce accommodation levels things out enough that non-wheelchair and wheelchair players can face off. Plus I think there's actually something like a pro circuit--all four of the Slams have wheelchair tournaments alongside.

So cool that you got to go to Wimbledon! The public tennis facility I frequent is kind of a mecca for wheelchair tennis, it seems. They have weekend seminars with 50 or more wheelchair players, and there are always a few serious players around, including a Paralympic gold medalist in quad doubles.

I'll be there! I've planned two weekend trips to the Met - one in the fall to see Tristan/L'Italiana/Don Giovanni, and one in the spring to see Rosenkavalier/Cyrano/Dutchman. I'll have to look for you on the stage
