I don't know about recent ones, but OverSimplified did a video about some of chinese history that shows a lot of borders throughout time as well as part of how they became disconnected a few times. His videos are quite entertaining and informative and I think this one provides good historical context regarding your question.

Appetite definitely, I also find it useful for the anxiety and panic attacks the stims give me.
