Game programmer here. What exactly do you have in mind? I’m battling leukemia right now, so I have a classic case of chemo-brain, but I might be able to point you in the right direction.

I got sick in Canada. Leukemia.

3+ months of hospital stay, 20 blood transfusions, 15 platelet transfusions, 1.5years of chemo and radiation, a bone marrow transplant. Had my wisdom teeth out too as part of that process.

The only thing I paid for was cab fares to and from hospital. Which was refunded.
