I think you're absolutely hilarious and when I saw you were doing an AMA I actually made a note of it on my calendar (which I don't even use when I'm supposed to for work). I guess I should probably ask a question so:

What was your favorite scene to film in Silicon Valley and why was it the middle out dick algorithm scene?

My boyfriend is anosmic and really hates spicy food. I've wondered if maybe it's because his lack of smell makes it so he only gets the pain part of spicy food and not the pleasant part? Texture and salt are also super important for him food-wise.

Hey man, I'm glad you got through the surgery and I promise I know how hard these things can be and trust me, you are not a weak person because you were in pain during recovery.

Four months ago I had open heart surgery and had my Mitral Valve replaced due to Marfan's Syndrome which you mentioned in your post. I was in the ICU for about 10 or 11 days and also had complications that led to me getting a pacemaker. Those 11 days and the several months following were SO HARD. I'm in my mid-twenties and I feel like everyone expected me to bounce back like it was nothing but it sure was something. I still can't sleep in a bed properly.

I also know the struggles of (in my case) taking Coumadin/warfarin for what is expected to be forever. It's no fun having to plan to get my INR checked every few weeks but I'm lucky to live nearby a place to get it checked (and one day they say they might let me plan to get an at-home blood test similar to those used by diabetics). I'm sad about having to avoid spinach, though.

I'm glad your doctors caught this and I'm glad you went in when you noticed the chest pain. I was lucky enough to have been diagnosed as a little kid so I have had cardiologists watching my heart and specifically my aorta for years so 6 months ago when my ECHO showed that my Mitral Valve Prolapse had progressed to severe they started immediately talking to me about surgery.

I wish you the best of luck! I guess I should ask a question since this IS an AMA.

Do you find your clicking less and less noticeable as the days go by? When I woke up and could hear the clicking I was NOT expecting it and think I asked the doctors if it was supposed to be happening like that. They basically were like...yeah, you'll get used to it! So have you?

I know you've got some answers already but I just had a mechanical valve replacement for my MVP specifically. Yes, you do. I know that sucks but it's true and there is a constant clicking. What the person below said about sometimes other people hearing it is also true but that can be kinda a funny conversation if you think about it. Someone joked that I could never play poker because my clicking would get louder when I was lying.

I'm about 4 months out from surgery and feel as though I currently only notice my clicking when it is quiet or I'm paying attention to it. I was super stressed about it for a while but now almost feel comforted by it because it's like...okay, if it's clicking then hopefully it's working.

Good luck with everything and feel free to ask me any questions!
