Good for you. Stay positive!

Just go ahead and see how you react when youngsters with no life experience speak to you like this, repetitively, 40-50 years from now. I'll be 6 feet under, but I'll be laughing from my grave.

I’ll spread my word, all right:

This is such a shame. They’re making such a good move and you’re all fighting against it? Unbelievable.

Well, at least hear me out.

This is good for business. The more these companies make for charging people for nonsense websites like Reddit, the more jobs they’ll be able to open up so they can actually have openings for the degenerates who would otherwise sit at home complaining that they can’t get a job (even though they’re not actually doing much more than submitting a couple of job applications per month and claiming they’re scouring for jobs).

Plus, since people will now have to pay to use nonsense websites, they’ll actually have to work to afford to use them. No more excuses to be lazy!

Lastly, if someone doesn’t want to pay for the nonsense websites, they’ll simply end up spending less time on them and possibly do something beneficial instead (like working out or learning — or heck, even working at a new job!). Seems like a win-win situation all around.

It’s similar to taxing cigarettes. They’re unhealthy, and adding taxes to them discourages people from purchasing them as much. Obviously it’s not full proof, but people would definitely buy and smoke more cigarettes if they were cheaper.

So you should all be thanking your lucky stars that the government cares enough about you to save you from yourselves. I thank them and will support their decision all the way, through and through.

EDIT: holy crap! Downclobbered this hard for my opinion?! You know, I am simply a human - NOT BOT OR ROTTEN SHILL - trying to express his informed opinion and let you all know the TROOF about what Reddit is actually trying to do here all day... which is ultimately nothing. STOP downvoting me immediately, or else. I’ve sent people to L’Hopital’s before. My strength is the OUTSTANDING!

From the perspective an older, wiser gentleman, allow me to attempt to answer your questions (since healthcare providers only know their own limited perspective and not others').

1 - Respect our thoughts. If we're saying something that seems confusing to you, it's because we're right. You're probably the one confused because you haven't the wisdom that we've gained over the years. If you question us, then ask us to explain - don't argue. There's a reason we've been around as long as we have.

2 - Respect us in general. This newer generation is much less respectful of the older generation than the prior one. Maybe it's because of the mass communication that the World Wide Web has inspired; maybe it's the closed-mindedness that the internet allows among you munchkins and snagglewappers. In either case, I blame the World Wide Web for such lousy attitudes. There's so much great stuff out here on the interwebs, but it's used stupidly by youngsters.

That's all I have to say about that. Based on prior experience, this will be downmodded rather massively because it doesn't agree with the opinions of people and may come across antagonistic, but you know what? That's how we were spoken to when we were young - sternly - and we came out absolutely fine. No snowflakes were melted; we became tough.

EDIT: Look at the utter disrespect below. Pathetic. This generation's going to end the world remarkably fast, and boy oh boy, am I glad I won't live to see it.

Don't ask the tough questions if you don't want to hear the tough answers. Don't melt too quickly, snowflakes.
