what exactly are fluffers?

Why is it that whistleblowers are often treated as if they're criminals? It doesn't seem like they've actually done anything wrong. What do whistleblower attornies do for their clients? Like, how do they defend their client, do they prosecute...?

I just want to say that watching your stuff really made my parents' divorce easier to deal with. You have a very interesting life view and were able to take everything in stride. Kind of. It was actually inspiring how you were able to cope with everything so well, and I think that helped me do the same. You seemed like you bounced back, so why couldn't I?
