I've clinically died 4 times on two occasions (one was drowning, the other three were within minutes of each other from a head injury).

For those people that say drowning is peaceful: Go fuck yourself with ball-peen hammer.

Kind of. I had a problem and coughed underwater, and breathed in a shitload of water because of that (the big intake after a cough).

For me, no. I thrashed and squirm and fought for the surface, and I couldn't reach it. It was horrifying.
