If you’re in your mid-30s and never really had any friends is it too late to start?

I promise, it is never too late to start! If it were too late, everyone would be too afraid to ever switch jobs or move towns. Lots of great things would never happen!

My company received a resume from a guy once that had a large drawing of megatron on it. The job wasn't a design job, and the art wasn't high enough quality for that anyway.

I'm not a psychologist, but regular interaction tends to be a staple of friendships, and it's partially because you and your friend can be companions while doing things together that you had to do anyway. Like eating lunch, or shopping, or whatever. Once that routine is broken, you need some kinda common activity to maintain regular interaction/contact, otherwise the friendship will drift.

Which isn't to say it can't come back and/or can't be maintained, but it won't be the same quality for sure. I had friends in college 8 years ago that I still consider friends, but I haven't visited them since we graduated lol. Like, I'm 100% positive none of them will ever invite me to their wedding, but that's ok. :)

I have no idea how to socialize and I don’t know how to relate to anyone my age because we don’t have the same types of life experiences, I feel like a teenager tying to relate with grown adults

heh, is the problem that you don't have kids and most of the adult acquaintances you have do? That's about the only big change I guess. I don't either. I would imagine a lot of people feel that way internally though.
