The show Frasier had a running gag where the character Niles had a wife that was never seen on screen, and the characters always described her as very thin with jokes like “I must have missed her behind that piece of spaghetti”. Her name was Maris too. Your post is the only time I ever heard that name other than the show.

Neither of these statements are true across the board. It really depends on the state and the doctor, as there have only been guidelines released.

My pain office enacted a "general limit" (max daily dose); however, exceptions are made. It's going to vary greatly, and even some pharmacies/insurance providers are stepping in and refusing to fill or pay for legit scripts.

At the end of the day, it comes down to your relationship with your provider, and the practice you visit (for now).

Good luck getting the answer to this one. Everyone likes to brush this major issue aside.
