Might want to keep the personal feelings about religion/prayer out of it. I know Reddit loves it's atheism but there's a time and place to express it. I've never understood the need for some people to feel like they have to 'correct' those with religious views. I'm agnostic myself, but I would never criticize others for their views, especially considering the two people exchanging their experiences here.

Not to shift blame on to others or anything - but did you not have a group of supportive friends to call you out on it and to remind you how beautiful you are?

From experience, I know it isn't always the easiest thing to do, but I'd rather have a friend get mad that I was looking out for them as opposed to just sitting by and letting it happen.
