You get about 5,5euros for first 6months, 8euros from 6-9months and about 12e for last 3 months. Per day. You can apply for NCO roles, but those are few usually per year. Likely its easier to apply into Finnish cadet school and become officer through studies. You may also apply for peacekeeping jobs.

Im not sure how ranks translate to different armies, but most stay as private, one/two guys can become private first class per squad (back up squad leader), undersergeant (squad leader), sergeant (squad leader & platoon back up leader) or ensign / 2nd lieutanent (platoon leader).
