Did your grandmother ever teach you to be racist or prejudice in other ways? If yes, do you still feel that?

Absolutely, sure they never have a character snap their fingers and look at the camera and say Oh, so that's how the polar bear from the first episode got here! but they manage to answer it definitely without being corny. At least that commenter understood that's what the answer is, my mind is often boggled by how many people missed it in the first place.

I've never heard that complaint, "Brushed it off later as just an experiment," though. What do they mean by "brushed it off"? They used this one mystery and were able to give it a very complete and relevant answer that connects to many other pieces of major mythology. That's pretty impressive, more than can be said for some of the other plot points. What exactly was the commenter expecting? I'm guessing that if we had gotten some other mythological answer of how it naturally ended up there, people would be complaining even more.
