May be. I work in Siskiyou and Mendocino counties a fair bit though, and hear stories about "poachers" cutting protected old growth trees for furniture all the time. That kind of wood no longer exists (knot-free, big, etc) on the legit market unless it's reclaimed.

I mean the groves, and I'm just repeating what I've been told by people who live in redwood country.
