Your advice is solid. I contract work only, and you can surprise the crap out of yourself at how valuable your services can be.

One piece I'd like to add, is to do good work. It doesn't have to be your best every time, but do good if you are going to charge for it.

ATV rescue sounds awesome. How does it work? I'm imagining people call you guys and tell you about someone neglecting their scooter, then you get the cops to come and help you confiscate and rehab bikes. Kinda like that?
