People really seem to negatively romanticize the situation over there. I have a few friends who have been there who say that the place is a bit strange but there are normal people who live there who live normal lives. Maybe sometimes we should introspect a bit just and wonder what information that is being fed to us is truthful/exaggerated. Just a thought.

Lol did you read my comment? I admit there is propaganda working in NK but stop for a second and think about the propaganda being spouted from the west. Being a history student I can promise you there has never been a case where the West has been innocent of propaganda itself. Having been to Russia (I know its not the same, but it is negatively romanticized in similar ways) myself I have seen first hand the disconnect between how it is portrayed in the media s how it is. I think you are the one who has fallen victim to the propaganda machine.
