Hi. Suppose after this investigation and everything that has come out if it, there are no consequences for Trump. Do you think this will be disruptive for the general public?

To expand further:

However you want to interpret the facts, it is undeniable that Trump accepted help from a foreign country to win the election. It is also undeniable that the foreign country in question's aim in helping him was to destabilize and harm the USA. There might not be any collusion as described in the law for it to be a crime, but the fact remains that he accepted that help.

Furthermore, quite a lot of shading dealings by Trump have emerged, some of which seemed enough to land in prison (or at least in trial) anyone that wasn't the POTUS.

If after this there are no consequences for Trump, the general public might risk come to the following two conclusions:

  • Getting the help of a foreign country that wants to destabilize and harm the USA is fine, as long as you barely keep it within the law
  • The legal system truly has double standards - one for normal citizen, another for the POTUS and other important political figures.

Do you think this is a possibility, and do you think this might have even worse consequences for the nation?
