What's up with the change in flavor for fries, and why is it only some locations?

My local McD now tastes wrong, but I can drive to my inlaws neighborhood and their fries are still awesome.

When I complained to corporate, all I got were some crappy coupons, but no changes...

The change is permanent, we gave up eating there after a few months (would have it once or twice a month).

I should've probably deleted it because my question is US, and op is in UK it smells like. For I know different franchises use different oil or something, I dunno. But I can't eat at our local one, the fries are just bad.

You're right. Adopting is a lot more work, a lot more difficult, and in the end you just end up loving them as much as you would your own flesh and blood.
