What type of hotel was that?

I'm staying in different hotels all the time and I have never been to one that charges more for couples than a single person.

I don't think it's because it's a 5 star hotel, I usually stay at 5 star hotels and I never seen this practice before.

Amenities etc. accounts for a very little part of the cost, some more soap bars and extra laundry is maybe $10, add an extra $20 if breakfast is included.
