What are your thoughts on academic resources as news? I remember learning so much when having to write papers in college for a variety of class but outside of academia it’s hard to find that same level of pure knowledge.

I think you’re nitpicking his response to find reasons to invalidate him as a viable candidate. You narrowed on certain key words and disregarded the intended message behind all of those words put together.

Not all seniors care and, as my brother who is an EMT in South Florida has told me time and again, being a certain age does not automatically grant you a sense of wisdom previously unattainable at younger ages.

Here, he’s not asserting that IT is the ultimate solution to all of Plantation’s problem. It’s only one of many avenues through which progress and change can happen.

It’s very easy to be knowledgeable about what you already understand, but it’s even more impressive to be willing to entertain that which is unknown in hopes that it could even improve your current situation.

It’s impossible for anyone to have a full understanding of every aspect of a municipality’s or county’s issues throughout various departments. That is where the willingness to learn and seek out solutions comes into play.

What’s something that you can say now that you couldn’t say when you were acting in a representative capacity?
