I've never heard this before. IIRC, my LASIK doc told me not to rub my eyes for a month or two when I got LASIK, but then it was fine.

Hey, this is really interesting. Can you give more examples of what's wrong with that show? Anything other than the sex scenes? I only ever hear great things about this show, but I suspect that it really misrepresents what prison is like. If that's the case, it's pretty awful because prison is not something that I feel should be misrepresented to anyone.

I think this thread should be deleted. It could wreck a young person's entire life because a key witness is doing something unwise for no apparent good reason. And just so someone on reddit's staff might actually pay attention--because I know reddit admins act on profits rather than morality--this could also mean bad publicity for reddit.

I think the way to look at Orange is the New Black is to not pigeonhole the characters into stereotypes. They're all complicated people who you might meet in real life, with good points and bad. The show is really good at not telling the audience how to feel about characters. You observe the story yourself and decide what you think of the characters' actions in light of the characters' personal histories. To that end, it's really great they added Soso, who is a really upbeat character with a personality that totally exists in the real world, but one we hadn't seen on the show yet.

On another note, you're really great at portraying Soso, and I'm really glad they added an Asian American woman to the cast. I've visited some prisons before when I used to work at a prosecutor's office, and we were told prisons often self-segregate by race (white, black, Hispanic, Asian). Given that, Asian Americans have been surprisingly absent from the show. It's kind of weird to me, given how impressively diverse the cast is. But it makes me especially excited to see where your character goes. Can't wait to watch you next season!
