Do they pay you well? I've always dreamed of working with animals and marine life. Documenting, observing, collecting data to better understand species. It's hard to imagine doing something I love that also pays well. Just curious. Also, invasive and rude question, but im curious.

I have severe social anxiety and work as a nurse. I good in small client settings, but when I have to sit in a room with my bosses and Drs to talk about pt care, i get nervous and red faced. I can't stand blushing and it paints a target on me and then perpetuates the anxiety of people looking and judging. I've put myself on lopressor bc my HR was constantly elevated and heard beta blockers can help with anxiety and flushing.

Anything else you can suggest to help with blushing, aside from cognitive behavioral therapy? Its literally making me isolate myself at work to avoid social situations that this would occur. It's a bit of a problem.

Hi, I'm a nurse on a medical floor and we have been understaffed for 2 plus years. I use to enjoy my job, my patients, but I find myself lacking emotion, im depressed at home, and never want to do anything work related on my days off.

I've found myself in a viscous cycle. I don't like my job anymore and want to get a new one, but im so burned out from my current job, that on my days off I want nothing to do with work or the motivation to even update my resume. So my current job has broken me soo much that I don't have the energy to move or out of it.

Is this burn out? I feel very stuck. Or is there something wrong with me?

Hello, Are there different types of anxiety? For example, i feel like I have a constant fast heart or overactive adrenal gland. I have easy face flushing and made me want to avoid those 4-5 person setting for social anxiety.
I placed myself on lopressor which have seemed to help. Did the beta blocked help my overactive heart, which lead to hyperactive state and anxiety or...placebo?
