I've told this story on reddit before, but it bears repeating because it's just that good. My grandfather is a WWII vet as well, and he told me once about storming a beach somewhere in Italy. Bombs were flying everywhere, bullets, complete carnage. He ran up the beach and dove into a foxhole, and found himself face to face with two surprised British gentlemen. After a moment they grinned at him and held up teacups and said, "Want some tea, Yank?" Apparently it was tea-time.

It would mean a lot to me for him to know that there are fans out there dedicated enough to get a permanent mark of his work on their bodies.

Perhaps not quite so permanent, but I named my dog after Oy. He lives up to his name, too... he kills all the spiders in my house!

I miss being a projectionist. Best job ever.

...Which also has 7 words. Damn it. This is going to turn out like Dark Tower, were I start seeing 19s in everything for years after finishing it.

Lord Gehn isn't pleased about much, though. Shame we couldn't get Ti'ana's take on it.
