Hi: I loved the way that the producers of LOST seemed determined to have a diverse cast and not stereotype. Has it been a struggle in your career to avoid being typecast in "traditional" Asian roles?

I'm sorry to hear that. You've seemed to rise above that kind of nonsense admirably. Would you have any advice for young actors of color looking to break into the business to have a career similar to yours?

It's pretty clear at this point that Joel is going to be the lone "old school" MST3K voice involved in this project.

I'm kind of bummed that it was announced this way. I'm glad that Joel recovered what was clearly some important intellectual property to him. At the same time, it's totally disingenuous to suggest that the show's previous "reboots" bear any resemblance to what he's proposing here. Mike Nelson was an MST3K writer from (nearly) the beginning; so were Kevin Murphy and Mary Jo Pehl. The writing staff of the show didn't change much at all.

Let me be clear: This new show may be great! But it's going to be MST3K in name only.
