As a modern Orthodox Jew, it's especially heartbreaking to hear of the things you went through and continue to go through. I'm so sorry that you and other Jews are subject to painful things like this. It seems like most Jews who leave haredi communities never consider other branches of Judaism since they were raised with such a black and white (pun intended) view of "we're right and everything else is wrong." Was there ever a point in your journey when you considered another form of Judaism?

Agreed. No one should be above criticism, but when dealing with historically oppressed groups, especially ones who have been wrongly accused of being unclean or spreading disease, it's important to be careful in how that criticism is phrased. It's like there isn't anything wrong with calling out crime in the Black community, but if you're doing so you should be extra careful not to accidentally play into traditional racist tropes.

Gee, I wonder why people don't trust your intentions...

I see the point you are making though I obviously disagree as a religious Jew. But I will point out that you can't take this modern debate in a vacuum. There have been attacks on circumcision in Europe going back a long time and the only reason was to attack Jews. So when Jews hear people talking about banning it, regardless of the stated intentions, we are skeptical of you. There may be things religious Jews will compromise on, this is not one of them. So if you pursue this, you should know that the end result will be a mass Exodus of the vast majority of your country's Jews.
