This is also part of the reason it was so difficult to train horses to act as cavalry mounts - if one side of the field has sharp bits of steel not pointed at you and some semblance of calm, and the other has sharp bits of steel pointed at you, screams of agony and anguish, and (depending on the time period) loud, scary explosions, I think it's fairly obvious to see which one any being would reasonably go to

What does it feel like for people to be rude to people such as yourself or see similar either online or irl on incomplete opinions (I.e. People thinking all officers are racist and the like)?
