I just had a situation go on like this with my cousin at his house. We're both mid 20's white males with good jobs, and I moved into his house in a nice neighborhood. We got a third roommate, so we usually have about 4 cars in our driveway, and we have the corner house. The rest of this neighborhood is ALL elderly or retired people, so us even sharing their same street is a nuisance. We keep to ourselves, haven't thrown a party in 16 months, and keep the place clean and the lawn mowed.

We recently had 4 cops show up to our house, full gear, gloves, bowed up like they were ready to bust down the door. It was 4:30pm, they rang the doorbell and I answered. They asked for the owner of the house, so my cousin came up to the door. They asked for his ID and if they could come it, and he told them he'd get it, but to wait on the porch for him. He came back and they started berating us with questions, saying their captain has been receiving numerous complaints about our house, asking about how many parties we have, and if we had any narcotics in the house. The whole time it was just one man talking, but the other three were shifting on their feet, clapping their hands together, acting really strange. The guy asking us questions was getting more and more irritated, and finally asked why he couldn't come in. We told him that this was unexpected and they scared us, and that there was no reason for them to come in the house. He got huffy, told us to not make them come out again, and then rolled out.

My cousin was LIVID with them for even being there, saying fuck the cops and that whole thing. But honestly, those cops had no idea why they were there. They were responding to an elderly woman's call about suspected drug activity because we work nights, and our other roommate owns a bar so he's coming at weird hours, also. They didn't know who was going to answer the door, they didn't know that we weren't armed or high, and they didn't know that we both have completely clean records. I told him that they're guaranteed not to come out like that again since they actually know the situation now.

Like you said, cops are people, too. But they're people who get spit on, shot at, disrespected, and glared at just because of their uniform. I know people who flip burgers who are disgusting human beings, just like I know cops who are disgusting human beings.

Yup. This was my point to everyone else who's arguing she's alive. Pam knows for sure and confirmed it.

I actually didn't notice it wasn't Sam Jackson until you said that. Oops.

Christian! I've been following you forever, and your music is some of the most gorgeous and most crunk stuff I have. I've introduced countless people to you, and you and Pretty Lights are my go-to music for anything.

Ive seen you 6 times at small venues all over the country (both festivals I went to that you were at got rained out, Waka '13 and CounterPoint '14), but I haven't ever heard you drop your older, less popular stuff like Juicy, Roof Back, Whoa!, California Dreaming, r My Dip in the Club (we got hit with Rolling in the Deep in Dallas last year and you about gave that crowd a heart attack lol). My question is do these not come up in your sets when you throw them together by accident, or are you not thinking those kinds of songs would translate well in your set? I've talked to you after a few of your shows but I always forget to ask because I'm too shellshocked by an already outstanding set lol. I love your music, can't get enough of the new album (Airships is my shiiiiiit), but is there any possibility of getting some older, crunk, ratchet Minnesota thrown in???

Sorry about that wall. I've been looking forward to finally getting to ask lol
