I know this show is very popular with "conservatives" who support Jack's style of ends justify the means. But a lot of the situations seem to either criticize that behavior or general "conservative" policies. Yet Jack is the hero...

Do you think of "political agendas" when writing? Or do you just aim for a good story with a lot of conflict?

Matt, I am super excited you're doing this. May I ask a couple?

  • I know questioning why Christians do what we do is a huge part of Bad Christian. I wonder how you all react to verses in the Bible that speak about not doing something that, even if it's not sin to you, may be sin for another? A verse being Romans 14:13-15 and take, maybe, swearing for an example of an act.
  • It seems like some Emery songs deal with depression and thoughts of suicide. Are any of the guys open about that/have struggled with that? Or do you write them as a way to relate to those who have?
  • I didn't pay for this package on the campaign (I wanted vinyl), but if you need more pictures for your album cover, here is some of you guys and me :)
  • Not a question, but I love how real you guys have been, even jumping off stage after your show to hang out. I died a little inside to meet you. Keep it up. God bless

I am hoping for the chance to vote for you (not Johnson, Macafee) in the GE. I have a couple questions, if I may.

  1. I love your responses about your age when critisized. What about your experience? If I understand, you haven't held any public office?

  2. Are there any laws, govt programs/entities that you think we're definitely needed and important, but have served their time. This is in contrast to things you thought should never have been created.
