I don't think he's doing it for self-gratification. I imagine he's doing it to build awareness and hopefully get exposure to a program that most of us are unfamiliar with - in hopes of getting more people involved.

I think it's a good thing and had I not read this AMA today I wouldn't have given BBBS a second thought. However, now that I have, I'm considering getting involved. Mission accomplished.

This really resonates with me as I struggle with most of what you have described in several of your replies. Thank you for sharing.
