Edward, I don't have a question, but I want to say thank you.

The personal sacrifice you made by becoming a whistleblower makes you a great hero for this country.

First of all, thanks for doing this AMA!

I’m a Junior at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota who was forced to quit playing basketball earlier this year due to chronic knee injuries/surgeries over the past 5 years. Since I’ve been 13, I’ve committed much of my free times to this game and I can say without a doubt that it is my biggest passion in life, with nothing else even approaching the level of love I have for basketball. I can tell you were also very passionate about basketball at this age too, from what I read you were worked the stats table for Harvard during your time there, so you know how this feels.

My question is what would you recommend I do to try and break into the NBA life? In the past year after it became more and more apparent that I would probably have to quit my college team, I’ve been working like crazy to try and establish meaningful connections with NBA teams and independent scouts. While I’ve had some success on both fronts, I really don’t feel like I have made any meaningful connections, and despite being told to call GMs (which I obviously did), I have yet to hear back from any of them.

I know that persistence and perseverance are just as crucial as my basketball knowledge and connections, but I can’t help but feel like I’m doing something wrong. Being that I want to be a scout, I’ve been using my connections to try and inquire about internships in basketball operations, but I also feel like I have the credentials, even at my young age, to possible getting a high school head coaching job for the 2015-2016 year. What do you think I should do? Keep attempting to find an entry-level job with an NBA franchise, or attempt to work my way up from the high school level?

Thanks again!

I'm a Timberwolves fan and I read that as Kevin Love. Even though I realize I was mistaken, I will still ask you my question i originally wanted to.

Do you think that you'll resign with Minnesota after your current contract is up? What about your player option for 2015-2016 season, do you think you'll pick that up?

Mike,

I know you have banana-growing aspirations, but I just don't know if you'll be able to make it work in the freezing tundra of Minnesota.

Maybe if you make another jersey burning video that goes viral, you could establish the capital to move with Zan down to a better banana growing region of the world and live out your dreams!

Thanks for taking me to opening night... Not.

Edit: You took out my first name? Now I just look like a stalker...
