Death of a character in fiction is tough tightrope to walk. Most of the time it's nothing more than a cheap emotional trick especially when it's done to a long-standing character. I'm often left disgusted that the writer sacrifices a beloved character all because he couldn't think of a better way get real emotions out of their reader.
Instead of relying on his own talent to evoke emotion, he's using the talent of his predecessors who made you love that character in the first place. More often than not it just comes off as a gigantic waste.

Do you see any changes/additions/tweaks coming down the pipeline that will improve role warfare? I know a lot of people have been complaining about the trend in mass Assault/heavies games.
Bonus Question: When will the Hunchback quirks come? I want what you did to the centurion!

As a recent Beta invitee, I got to experience the Mechwarrior series for the first time in too many years. One of the biggest hurdles I faced was that the game was a bit difficult to get my head around. There were many features such as the mechlab, overheating, and just basic controls that were a little frustrating to a beginner like me.
With Open Beta around the corner what sort of changes can we expect to see that will help new players like myself have a good first impression and a smooth transition?
