Did you see the bride who was paralyzed when a bridesmaid pushed her into a pool at her Bachelorette party?

I fucking hate these kind of shenanigans and this is exactly why. It's not funny to begin with and when it goes wrong you could ruin someone's life.

How does that work... Do they call you when they need a segment? Do you pitch ideas and hope they invite you on? Do you write your own segments for TDS?

Pool depth was only like 3'. She hit her head on the bottom of the pool.

There is definitely a line somewhere between taking reasonable precautions against being victimized and straight up putting yourself in harm's way. When you are victimized, it's never your fault but certainly there are times where your actions could have prevented the incident.

This, I have to believe, is where victim-blaming comes from. The people we trust to support us instead tell us we did something wrong because perhaps deep down they feel that they have failed. Our parents tell us to not talk to strangers and to not walk alone at night, and then when we're victimized they wonder why, why didn't we just listen to them and then this wouldn't have happened?

I'm a male. When I was 18 I got jumped at a party and got the shit beat out of me. I had just gotten out of my car and two roided up assholes put me in the hospital without me saying a word. My mom asked me what I did to provoke them. She said I must have done something to make them mad. To this day it's the most hurtful thing my mother has ever said to me.
