36 y/o female here that’s a big ol’ nerd. Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and Firefly are all my loves. I cosplay and play lots of video games. We exist. You just have to find your nerdy girl :)

I find it interesting you need to define a box he has to fit in.

What if we voted for people based on their goals and their voting history (for legislation etc), their community work, and their political/work associations? Sometimes the goals of a politician don't all fit into a specific party box.

I'd be more interested to hear about community projects he's already been working on to make Texas a more desirable place to live. What kinds of legislative actions he's had a hand in. Who he looks up to in the leadership who came before him.

I'm Canadian and have never been to a Chick-fil-A, but I think I would find that unsettling as well. I've always equated "No problem" with "Happy to help" when it's said to me. Forcing specific dialogue seems robotic and impersonal to me. I would much rather feel like the person is speaking to me naturally.

Not OP, but I’m 36 and in Canada. I had to be really assertive about wanting a hormone test before they’d send me for one (3 or 4 appointments of being insistent.) mine was for my skin issues, but really... Be an advocate for yourself. Only you can fully express how wrong it feels to be exhausted and disinterested in being social all the time.
