When the Cascadia subduction zone moves again and we get the massive Pacific Northwest earthquake that those of us who live here are dreading, how likely is it that this event could also trigger eruptions in the Cascades?

What is the latest thinking regarding South Sister in central Oregon? I know there was some expansion going on in the 2000s, but my understanding is that the expansion has slowed down. Is there still significant concern about South Sister as a near-term hazard?

I've always been very interested in the Newberry volcano, because it's so different from the others in the Cascades. Did it form due to the subduction of the Juan de Fuca plate, or is it built from a different mechanism?
