2 years in a reception battalion...good lord. If they want people to come forward and report stuff, that is not how you entice an individual. Those were the longest 2 weeks of my life or however long it was. Looking back I can't remember anything other than waking up early and not being able to talk or sit when I wanted. It really does seem like a prison and is not an acceptable way to protect victims.

Tim, I remember watching your show years ago on PBS. I would always watch you before I went outside to play in the afternoon. Your painting has always been of scenic areas such as mountains and trees, do you ever plan on branching out and maybe painting some portraits or something more abstract?

I have decided to alter the contract between the two of us, the amount of money you can charge me per month has been capped at $25. Every $0.50 over that costs you $10. Is that fair? If you think not, why the fuck is it fair to do it to your customers?

As others have said it's where new recruits go to in process (paperwork, medical and dental checks, military haircuts) Due to it being the recruits first "real" military experience the cadre are fairly strict on talking and the indoctrination process begins as soon as you get off the bus. The only break you get from monotonous standing and waiting is reading a book of basic soldier skills and regulations and learning the creeds and songs (from my army experience). It was a rude awakening for sure and I couldn't imagine going back to that after being at a real unit as some form of protection from sexual harassment/assault. It would be like getting harassed at a civilian job then the management making you an intern at another branch...it's only punishing the victim.
