This is a novel idea, but I feel like it's one of those things that would only be fun a few times. After that I could see myself desperate for features offered by computers, like copy & paste.

Oh man, I love the music from the Streets of Rage series! I listen to it while working all the time. My favorite is the SOR2 OST, and favorite tracks are Go Straight, Never Return Alive, Alien Power, and the intro and ending music. Is there any chance you're going to sample them, or anything else from the series? They're all great, really.
