This is true. There are anti-platelet drugs used that are based on viper venom. One is called tirofiban, and comes from a venom protein in the african saw-scaled viper. There are/were drugs for scaling brain disorders like Alzheimers and anti-cancer drugs in lab trials based on other snake venoms.
