While it's fun to see tons of Batman characters crammed into one setting, I felt that the Arkham City storyline suffered from having too much going on/a lack of focus, whereas the extra characters in Arkham Asylum added variety and depth to the game's world without detracting from the core narrative. The marketing for this game so far has me slightly concerned that the former might be true of Origins. How have you balanced the desire to showcase a long list of characters and enemies from the Batman canon with the need to craft a compelling main storyline?

Hey Ragnar, thanks so much for doing this! TLJ is the game that basically started my career as a gamer and has one of my favorite stories from any medium, so I couldn't be more excited to finally see all these updates about the sequel. I had a few questions:

  1. How did you choose the cities in which to set your characters in the future (Newport, Casablanca, etc.)? Were the choices influenced by personal travel experiences to those places?

  2. Any idea who will compose the music? Will there be thematic consistency with Dreamfall (the trailer seems to imply there will be)?

  3. Who's your favorite storyteller currently working in any medium, and why?

Side note: The song "The Many Faces" from my album under the name Align in Time was in part inspired by TLJ.

Given that you're using different animation styles for each of the Otherlands shorts, are you open to submissions from different composers to do the music?

If a 3rd Alice game does eventually get made, I was a little worried by the comments you've made about the combat. While I agree with the sentiment that MR was a little repetitive and not as refined as it could have been, I think changing it to turn-based would be a huge letdown. Have you thought any more about improving the 3rd person action rather than implementing a turn-based system?

I realize this is still a ways off but I'm guessing you're always working on things in the back of your mind!
