Great answers, this has been a really enjoyable read.

I lived in really rural Japan for six years, the food was incredible. I got much more into dining after that!

My family and I are headed to Paris soon. It’s our first trip there. I have heard the bakeries are wonderful for breakfast and you can get tasty sandwiches for lunch, but what would you recommend for dinner?

I don’t mean restaurant recs (but they would be welcome!) - I just mean, what sorts of meals should I try to eat there? It is a major city so I know you can get anything, but I would feel guilty if I went to Paris and ate only sushi and pasta dishes all week!

Growing up we used to put hot dogs in the broiler and cook them till they split - so good - but now my oven doesn’t have one! I am reduced to cooking them in a covered pan like a brat, start in water then cook that off to finish. Toast the bread and butter one slice of it. Ketchup on the other half (my Chicagoland friends say ketchup on a hot dog is sacrilege but hey this is a different thing!). Slice dogs in half longwise and you can fit two on a piece of bread. Voila: hot dog sandwich.

Congrats on the album and making the whole touring musician thing work. Love reading your answers.

I just decided to finally get a proper amp and get going with the electric which I never could afford / get to when younger. It was a real process trying to find out what amp I might like, especially with so much online info and cool makers yet so few guitar stores selling them nearby.

So I wanted to ask, how did you settle on your guitar(s) / amp(s)? Was it love at first sight, or did you try a bunch of stuff first?

Thank you! I guess there’s no shortcut, just work and try things and keep moving till you get there. At least this means I didn’t miss some shortcut everyone else knew about!

And now I guess I better get back to finding those triads!

Love the sound of that Hey! You Know You Wanna! Can totally hear that fitting with a Reverend Horton Heat show. Best wishes —
