You've hit the nail on the head mate. This is normal, not unique to Amazon. OP is bitter and looking to cash in on internet points while hating on Amazon while it's topical to do that.

In reality, OP was working 40+ hours a week at $15 an hour. Getting $30,000 USD per year to do the most basic of labour activity sounds pretty good.
