Why aren't quiet vacuums a thing?

I had heard that someone made one once, and no one bought it because they associated loudness with doing a good job at cleaning. The solution seems simple: add a suction power gauge that lets you know if stuff is blocking the vacuum's hose.

That's awesome! Now I feel bad about my shitty $60 target vacuum cleaner. I guess they're not all created equal.

With such a range of linguistic experience, have you found any particular methods for language-learning superior to others?

Does having an understanding of so many languages aid in deciphering languages totally foreign to you (IE. Without any common roots)?

Hey there! I really, really enjoyed the premise of Iron Sky, but I found that its inability to decide whether it was totally absurd or totally silly kept me from truly enjoying the film.

Do you feel that The Coming Race has a stronger identity or balance in this regard?
