Not to be confrontational but how does that detract from my reply?

u/Pizza2TheFace stated that these US locations are "real" shitholes, meaning that compared to Mexico, they are far worse. I refuted that claim by noting how people from these US places don't seek refuge in Mexico, despite the fact that many Mexicans seek refuge in the US.

If anything, your comment backs up my stance that Mexico is the bigger shithole because you point out the fact that Mexicans have perhaps an over-inflated perception of life in the US, but this perception does not exist in reverse. We in the West have no ignorance regarding the hellish conditions in third world countries. We understand fully that these countries are failures.

So maybe they're perceptions are over-inflated, but our perceptions are based on access to information. Even if we were to over-inflate our perceptions of life in shitholes like Mexico, most rational people would still choose to live in Northern Louisiana, for instance.

I was never arguing whether Mississippi was less of a shithole than Colorado, I was arguing that Mississippi is less of a shithole than Mexico.

As you point out, people from Mississippi aren't moving to Mexico. That's exactly my point.

I agree, just look at the influx of people from those places crossing the border to live a better life in Mexico...... Oh wait...

He shouldn't be angry at his parents, they gave him a better chance at life than he likely would've had in Mexico. Mexico is a complete shithole and it's natural to want to get the fuck out of there. We shouldn't be angry at the illegals who want a better life - but they, and their children, should be promptly deported together.
