None of this is true except the heat. There are plenty of fun, relatively inexpensive things to do here. We have the best combination of dining, gaming, entertainment, nightlife, and shopping per capita on the planet. We also boast the highest Quality of Life to Cost of Living ratio in the United States. There's always something to do, or something to see. It certainly isn't the overheated, stupid, drunken, Walking Dead boredom land that you describe. I love living here and it's a kick ass place to visit too. I've met plenty of people who think Vegas is the problem in their lives. The "grass is greener" people. They all move away and they all come back. But if you really think you'd be happier somewhere else, then leave. But don't tell people not to come here. Tourism is our entire economy.
