Have you ever been forced by your bosses to write something with a partisan slant or found that you work had been edited without your approval to include such a slant?

If they're going to keep changing the darn thing, they need to at least make it cheaper, right?!

I have a serious love hate relationship with mine, but it makes for some great light reading.

I work in the field myself, and am one of the most steadfast supporters of media outlets in partisan bias discussions.

That being said, in this day and age, where anyone with a blog calls themselves a journalist, so competition is running rampant, I'd be lying if I didn't say that the days of Walter Cronkite, Edward R Murrow, etc., and the credibility that they bring to the table, are over, and keeping the advertisers and shareholders happy is more important than ever to the bottom line.

What are your thoughts on the sensationalism brought on by the 24 hour news cycle?
