What do you think about prominent men in the industry--today-- speaking out on behalf of women and minorities, like JJ Abrams and Glen Mazzara? If the studios, networks, and DGA won’t take drastic measures, are these men some of the strongest advocates, because they are white men in power?

In the late 70s when you started organizing within the DGA, how did the men who ran the Guild react? Had they ever seen a woman director before, let alone a group that wanted to change the status quo?
