Like everyone else here, I'd be upset with myself if I didn't congratulate you guys on an absolutely stellar effort. Knowing seven people can outdo studios of hundreds with AAA budgets really says something fascinating about what makes a good game.

Now to bombard you with questions:

Everybody: What gave you the idea to drive the entire game with narration? It seems so small, and so simple, but in practice, it adds so much to the game.

Greg: How fleshed out would you say some of the concepts behind the story are? To cite another great example, Mass Effect's Codex had me reading for hours, and the universe of Caelondia seems so intoxicating, but since you only experience it post-Calamity, it's always just beyond your reach. Do you have backstories and ideas in your head or on your desk that detail individual people and day to day life prior to the Calamity?

Darren: This sounds a little cliche, but your soundtrack is so superb I have to ask: What musical influences found their way into the Bastion soundtrack?

Lastly:

The game’s on sale on Steam for the next couple of days

You sly dogs. :)

You've satisfied the writer-dweeb in me. I love it. A part of me aches for that story, but I think the light touch you had worked very well.

Just, you know, be aware, that when a break-in is reported at your offices, and it turns out its just a guy sitting and reading at your computer, you were forewarned :P

So I've been playing Thornwatch at various PAXii since East 2014 (wherein my group literally overheard Mike saying he was looking for an open table at the Westin and we unceremoniously shoved my entire copy of Power Grid off the table in four seconds and did our best to look inviting, yet totally innocent) and it's been super interesting to me to see how far it's come from even that iteration into the current print and play.

For Mike K: Is there any feature, nugget or other part of CardWarriorz that has since been iterated out that you miss?

For Mike S and Chad: Obviously a lot of Jerry and Mike drip off this games' every pore, but was there ever anything you guys had to cut or rework from the game that they felt was part of that unmistakable identity it has?
