If that “burning bush” was a cannabis plant, it would certainly explain the vision of God. There’s also the smoke and fire that guide the Israelites through the desert. Could that be a metaphor for getting stoned and lost for 40 years in the desert?

Not going to get super into it, but Ramesses is the city mentioned, not the pharaoh. Most historians try to match a Ramesses to Moses and the Exodus, but there are other options that fit timelines better (specifically Thutmose III or Akhenaten).
