Thanks for the info! 1. I rent my condo, so unless the landlord pays, not going to happen. 2. The wood I have is the wood I have, HOA wont let me store enough wood for 2 years. 3. I did that last winter, seemed to work great. 4. Wish I could get hardwood cheap, I looked into buying it and it was $250 for 1/2 cord, just not worth it, because I cut my own wood for cheap.

I burn about 2 cords of wood a year, all Lodgepole pine that is cut dead and seasoned for 6 months or so. We have a wood burning fireplace insert with a blower. Any tips on anything? Haven't gotten a sweep yet, but only have lived here one winter season.
